Medical Marijuana Dispensaries Closing

Throughout Colorado Springs medical marijuana dispensaries are closing. After three years, it appears the “Green Rush” has come and gone in many Colorado cities.

Thousands of eager entrepreneurs ventured into the medical marijuana industry in Colorado; but the flood of competition among dispensaries has caused nearly half to close their doors in Colorado Springs alone. It is likely that many of these entrepreneurs will try their fates again in the medical marijuana industries in Arizona, Massachusetts, New Mexico, or other soon-to-be medical marijuana states.

Many of the medical marijuana industry veterans said their profits have been dwindling due to financial barriers, overly strict regulations, and other small business obstacles.
